“Owning your story of struggle, whether heartbreak, disappointment or failure gives you the power to write your own daring ending.” ~Glennon Doyle Melton
You’re practicing Awareness here, by getting to the heart of it. Why am I recommending this?
Because when we dodge and deny our stories, when we stand outside just watching, we allow the story to define us. That can leave us feeling powerless.
But when we own our stories, when we stand inside them and say, “yeah, this is what happened,” we are the authors and we write the next chapters. This is vulnerability, and you know where that leads to? Courage.
